My Name is Khan

Rizvan Khan, a Muslim man from India, moves to San Francisco and lives with his brother and sister-in-law. Rizvan, who has Aspergers, falls in love with Mandira.

Despite protests from his family they get married and start a small business together. They are happy until September 11, 2001 when attitudes towards Muslims undergo a sea-change.

When tragedy strikes, Mandira is devastated and they split. Rizvan is confused and very upset that the love of his life has left him. To win her back, he embarks on a touching and inspiring journey across America.

Shahrukh Khan plays the protagonist while Kajol plays his wife in the film directed by Karan Johar. The two actors are pairing together after a long gap of nine years since they last teamed up in Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001.

Love overcomes all odds

My name is Khan, and I'm not terrorist. That's the main sentence in this movie. Good things happen to those who do good to others. This simple philosophy defines the life of Rizvan Khan, the protagonist of My Name Is Khan. He’s not an ordinary man. He has a golden heart but a brain that doesn’t understand the emotions that throb in it.

Don't expect this movie same as Kuch-kuch hota he. It's totally different. It's about family, love, respect, loyality and responsible. Although the flow was little bit slow, but we can enjoyed the path that Rizvan took. Nevada, Texas and California (i think). It was really touching. Two tumbs for Kajol acted as a mom when she lost her son. It made me cried, you know!! hahahha..

I like what Shahrukh Khan as Rizvan Khan said :

My name is Rizvan Khan. I might seem a little different to you. That is because I have Aspergers Syndrome. It is named after Dr Hans Aspersers who first noticed the traits in children. Having Aspergers does not mean I am stupid. I am very intelligent, but I don't understand people. I don't know why people say things they don't mean. For example, they say come to my house any time, and when I go to their house they say why have you come at this time? Sometimes people think I am rude. I don't mean to be rude, being rude is not good. My mother said there are only good people and bad people in the world and I am a good person...

Good people, bad people.. So simple. So, if you want to watch the movie, better bring tissue along with you. Coz, absolutely you will need it.. :)
